SkyBurn

Forecast method

A live read of color, cloud, and timing.

SkyBurn scores sunrise and sunset windows from live weather fields, event timing, and confidence checks. The result is a practical forecast, not a guarantee: sky color can still shift with local haze, smoke, terrain, and last-minute cloud breaks.

01

Resolve the place

Searches are geocoded on demand. The Worker stores a stable city identity so repeat requests can reuse the same D1 and R2 cache paths.

02

Build event snapshots

SkyBurn samples weather near sunrise and sunset windows, then scores cloud layers, visibility, humidity, radiation, and timing fit.

03

Expose quality

Forecast metadata carries confidence, algorithm version, cache status, and risk flags such as low confidence, sparse inputs, or sample timing offsets.

04

Learn from feedback

After the event window, users can mark whether the sky was better, close, or worse. That feedback is stored anonymously for calibration review.
